🔹60g oats (or desired amount)
🔹2 table spoons of desiccated coconut
🔹1 scoop of protein (I used Genetic’s Chocolate Coconut)
🔹4-5 table spoons of agave syrup OR 4-5 table spoons of My.Protein sugar free butterscotch syrup
🔹Nuts – if desired
🔹2 teaspoons of cinnamon
🔹Pinch of salt
Very high tech procedure. Lol
Place all dry ingredients in a bowl then add your desired syrup and mix with spoon until sticky but NOT wet. Add syrup gradually just until it’s sticky in your hands.
Now lift the mixture (handful at a time) and ‘flick’ the sticky clusters onto a tray! Do not be a perfectionist here! Just a tiny squeeze and flick. This is to form clusters not balls on the tray. Ensure you cover tray with grease proof paper.
Now place in a pre heated oven at 160 degrees for about 8mins, then mix on tray with a wooden spoon and cook for a further 2-4 mins or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and allow to cool fully.
That’s it! Now it’s up to you whether you add chocolate shavings, nuts, which syrup and how strict you want to be but either way this provides you with the healthiest version of protein oats you can get!
